Flexible Polyurethane Systems
High-quality polyurethane foam systems have many uses, especially in the furniture, automotive, medical and entertainment sectors. Different fields of application mean a multitude of special requirements. As a highly flexible, solution-oriented polyurethane system manufacturer, we offer our customers innovative integrated foam systems such as viscoelastic, high elasticity, anti-static or antimicrobial options. With our experienced R&D and Technical Support staff, we provide solutions to our customers in both formulation and process. In this way, we provide both pre-sales and after-sales support.
Kobe Polyurethane Flexible systems consist of two components:
- Polytechpol Polymix
- Polytechnat Prepolymer
The flexible polyurethane systems offered by Kobe Polyurethane are classified as follows:
- Molded Foam Systems
- Integral Systems
- Filter Systems
- Viscoelastic Systems
Polytech Polyurethane Molded Systems
Molded Foam Systems are mainly used in the automotive, furniture and medical sectors. According to the variability of their processes and formulations, products with different elasticities and densities are produced for vacuum and non-vacuum applications. These products are head and neck support, automotive and furniture seats, medical pillows, and orthopedic and back support. These systems are shaped by high or low-pressure machines using steel, aluminum or epoxy molds.
Molded Foam Systems can stretch a certain amount and return to its original form. In addition, such foams should have high elasticity, low permanent deformation, a certain amount of compression set, tear / tensile strength and non-flammability. These values may vary according to the sectors used and the standards set.
Polytech Polyurethane Integral Systems
Integral systems are suitable for the automotive sector (steering wheel, bumper), office furniture (armrest), medical sector, baton and toy production. These systems are also used for sound and vibration insulation. These polyurethane systems are characterized by a highly flexible, tear-resistant skin with a softer cellular core. Depending on the amount and properties of polyols and isocyanates used in integral systems, foams with different hardness, density, and elasticity can be obtained. The features sought in these systems are that the material’s pore structure should be regular, and the skin should be good.
Polytech Polyurethane Filter Systems
Filter Systems are used to produce all kinds of air and oil filters, especially in the automotive industry. Filter systems are divided into 3 groups:
- Soft filters
- Medium hardness filters
- Hard (radial) filters
- Compressor filters
- Filter adhesives
Filter Systems have high elasticity, tensile and tear strength. They are produced as colorless or with color according to the customer’s demand.
Polytech Polyurethane Viscoelastic Systems
Viscoelastic foams, also called “shape memory foam”, are very sensitive to heat; they show strong change in characteristics according to heat and cold.
The characteristic feature of viscoelastic foam is that it is highly effective in reducing point surface pressure and distributing the weight evenly to every point on the surface. The foam slowly recovers after such pressures are applied. This feature of viscoelastic systems makes them preferred in the mattress, furniture industry and medical sector.
